I. Qingdao Binhai University
1. Brief
Introduction
Qingdao Binhai
Univesity was initially established in 1992. In 1999, it was
granted as a vocational college by the Ministry of Education of
China. Successively, in 2005, it was upgraded to an
undergraduate university.
Located in the Economic and Technological Developing Zone,
Qingdao Binhai University enjoys its beautiful scenery and
moderate climate. In addition, it has got high prestige for its
abundant academic resources, colorful campus’s life and
convenient transportation. Occupying an area of 677 thousand
square meters, Binhai University is made up of a complex of
buildings with a total area of more than 420,000 square meters
equipped with advanced facilities. At present, Binhai University
has about 1000 faculty teachers, 70% of whom are full-teachers
with senior professional certificates, and the total enrollment
of 16,000 full time students including about 80 foreign
students.
In recent years, 32 foreign teachers from America, Canada,
Britain, Australia, Russia, Germany, France, Japan, and South
Korea have been invited to our School. Currently, Binhai
University consists of a
Graduate
School, a School of Adult Continuing Education, an International
Cooperation College and a Vocational College with 15
departments, which offers more than 60 programs involving arts,
science and finance. Besides, Chinese language learning courses
are provided for foreign students ( including 3years and four
years).
Binhai University attaches great importance to international
exchange and cooperation. Consequently, it has established an
inter-university relationship with universities in the U.S., the
U.K., Canada,
Germany, Russia,
Australia, Singapore, Malaysia,
Vietnam, Laos, Cambodian, South Korea, and Japan
etc. very year, Groups of well-known foreign exports and
scholars are invited to give lectures in our school, and at the
same time, the college keep sending excellent students to study
abroad. With the help of advanced facilities and excellent
teachers, the University provides comfortable living and
studying environment for overseas students. Binhai University
warmly welcomes international students wishing to study in
China.
The University adheres to the mission of “ Serve the whole
society, open to all the people”. Meanwhile the excellent
teaching quality and various perfect systems has helped the
university successfully train more than 600 overseas students.
All of the above has made Binhai a dynamic university in the
line of private schools. As a result, it has not only been fully
affirmed by Chinese Education Appraisal Institute but also
gained a high reputation in the international education field.

3. Transportation
The transportation around the university is very convenient,
where No.1,2,7,18,25 buses and university sightseeing routes all
pass by Binhai, and it takes less than an hour to get to the
Qingdao airport , Qingdao and one hour to every famous scenic
spot located in the downtown areas.
4. Living Environment
Qingdao Developing Zone is one of the universities-serried areas
and provides the availability of land for foreign investment.
The communication between China and foreign countries is very
frequent. Therefore, the local government can thoroughly
guarantee the security of all the students.
5. Facilities
The university provides convenient facilities as follows:
museum, natatorium, gymnasium, e-reading rooms, physique
training rooms, dining halls, tennis courts, volleyball courts,
bathrooms, laundry, large playground, hotel, photo studio,
supermarket, telephone bars, glasses shop, post office together
with 24-hour ATM.
6. Accommodation for overseas students
The hotel of the university includes luxury double rooms as well
as standard double room and single room for the overseas
students. The rooms all are equipped with necessities: bed,
closet, table, light, TV, sofa, water heater, bedding etc. In
addition, the overseas students can choose to live with Chinese
students in the common dormitories that usually hold 6-8 people.
7. Foreign Affairs Office
The university has a specialized foreign affair office to supply
the services of recruitment, consultation, enrollment,
communication and coordination for the overseas students,
together with an international cooperation institute in charge
of the study, life and administration of the overseas students.
We will try our best to create a pleasant, rich and colorful
life for the overseas students.
II. Study
Categories
and Admission Procedures
1.
Undergraduates Programs for 4 years
(1) Admission Qualifications:
(2) Applicant who has passed HSK (band 6), is well-behaved, in
good health, holding
a certificate of High School and at the age of 18-45 may apply
for admission to the corresponding classes according to his/her
actual Chinese level. Those who apply for Business and
Management have to pass mathematics examinations.
(3) Application Date and Procedure
Applicants who would like to study at Binhai University may
contact the Foreign Affairs Office of the university for
application form by mail or download on college website:

Applicants should submit the application documents to the
Foreign Affairs Office of the university one month before new
semesters start (February or September).
The admitted applicant will receive a Letter of Admission and a
“Visa
Application for Foreigners Wishing to Study in China”
(JW 202 Form) and students who enroll in program of over 6
months must take a physical examination no more than 4 months in
advance in the hospital designated by the Chinese Embassy. With
the Letter of Admission, JW202 Form and Physical Examination
Record, the student can go to the nearest Chinese Embassy or
Consulate for visa application.
(4) Registration:
Students should arrive on time according to the registration
time of “Letter
of Admission”.
At the time of registration, students are requested to show
their Letter of Admission, Form JW202, Physical Examination
Record, Passport, as well as pay tuition, registration, teaching
materials and lodging fee for one year. Anyone who cannot enroll
on time for special reasons should contact the university in
advance.

3. Chinese Language and Culture
(1) Major courses and grades:
Beginner: phonetics, listening, speaking, reading, calligraphy
Elementary: intensive reading, listening, speaking, Shadow
boxing, grammar, calligraphy
Intermediate: intensive reading, listening, speaking, writing,
grammar, Chinese history, Chinese selected journal material
reading
HSK guidance course: grammar, reading, listening, Chinese
literature
(2) Study Schedule: at least one semester. Anyone who asks for
special study can be arranged according to the student’s
request, and groups are also welcome.

IV. Foreign students’ Management
1.
Evaluation
At the end of each term, a final examination will be held, only
those who pass all subjects he/she has chosen can go on upper
grade study.
2.
Certificate
The certificate is to be awarded to those who pass all the
examinations given by the university.
3.
Postponement and cancellation of registered semester
If foreign student asks to stop study due to events beyond
control, the foreign student should ask for postponing study,
otherwise he/she will be regarded as a dropout; those who have
to stop study for special reasons are allowed to do transaction
of leaving school.
4.
Management
During their stay in China, foreign students should observe the
laws of the People's Republic of China , university regulations,
and respect the habits and customs of the Chinese people.
